Elk Island National Park
Elk Island National Park is located close to Edmonton. It is less than 30 minutes drive from there. Elk Island National Park secures the wilderness of Aspen Park Land, which happens to be amongst the most endangered home ground in the country. Elk Island National Park homes different kinds of wood bison, plains bison, deer, moose and elk. Aside from that, it also boasts more than 250 bird species. The park was established back in 1906 and happens to be one of the ancients of Alberta.
Jasper National Park
Jasper National Park is located in the Canadian Rockies. It is a scenic park that boasts several different waterfalls, lakes, hot springs and mountains. It is also another great park for those who love and enjoy wildlife. You’ll get to see an assortment of animals first hand in Jasper National Park including wolverines, beavers, grizzly bears, mountain goats, gray wolves, bighorn sheep, mule deer amongst others. You can also participate in outdoor activities in Jasper National Park including hiking, fishing rafting, camping, hiking and kayaking.
Banff is located on the Canadian Rockies capital. During the peak tourist season, thousands and thousands of people visit Banff particularly those who love mega coach tours and activities such as backpacking. While you are in Banff, you can shop for sports equipments and outdoor clothing. Banff is again a must visit place in Alberta because it offers an extremely unique experience.
