Do you love hiking, yoga and San Francisco?  Then check out Hiking Yoga, created by San Francisco yoga teacher and outdoor fitness instructor Eric Kipp.

“I created Hiking Yoga to bring fresh air and a new spirit of exploration to the usual yoga practice and workout routine – and to provide an engaging new view of the city for natives and tourists alike,” says Kipp.

With movement, stretching, strength and breathing, HIKING YOGA, combines the cardio workout of an outdoor boot camp and grace of yoga.

In San Francisco’s hills to hidden gardens and stairways, each HIKING YOGA session includes three to four yoga “stations” which are designed to stretch, open and challenge.  Some 10+ different, 90-minute yoga hikes from sunrise to sunset are offered weekly.

Hiking Yoga class sizes are limited to three to fifteen people. There are also special one-on-one training and programs available including “Hike and Dinner” Wednesdays and “Happy Hour Hike” Fridays.

Kipp plans to expand hikes to the East Bay in August 2010 and the South Bay in spring 2011.  Later this year, new U.S. satellite locations in North Carolina, Washington, Arizona and other parts of the San Francisco Bay Area are scheduled to open.
