New Photography Holiday To India

Wild Photography Holidays is launching a new, 16-day tour to Kerala and Tamil Nadu in southern India.
The travel company, which specializes in small-group photography holidays, has scheduled the new tour for over Christmas and New Years.
Says Geraldine Westrupp, co-owner of Wild Photography Holidays:
“I have drawn on my own experience of traveling and working in the Indian subcontinent for many years and the knowledge of local experts to create a truly colorful itinerary that explores the area of Kerala and Tamil Nadu taking our guests to the lesser known areas and behind doors normally closed to visitors.”

Photography tutor Martin Sammtleben will lead the tour and local experts will advise on the best locations and optimum lighting.
South Indian expert and author David Godman will also join the group for part of the tour, offering in-depth knowledge of the area.
Highlights of the adventure will include:
• Exploring the famous shore temples of Mahabalipuram;
• Visiting the ancient landscape of Gingee Fort;
• Discovering the shrines and caves of the holy mountain of Shiva – Arunachala;
• Going on a boat trip to Pichavarum, the world’s second largest mangrove forest;
• Taking an overnight train journeys to Coimbature in Kerala and to Chennai (Madras);
• Sampling the culinary delights of the sea-side state of Pondicherry and
• Riding a rickshaw through old Madurai.
