Covering Africa travel, photography to culture and news, they can inspire and inform any trip.
One of our favorite Africa blogs is My Marrakesh by Maryam Montague, Moroccan lifestyle and cultural expert, interior design consultant and owner of boutique hotel Peacock Pavilions.
Montague will host the upcoming May 2011 My Marrakesh – a guided shopping tour with Angela Ritchie’s Ace Camps.

Sonya – Thank you for spreading the word about Maryam’s workshop. It’s going to be an incredible experience for all.
Hi Sonya, Thanks for sharing these. Saharan Vibe is great!
Some of my favorites are Timbuktu Chronicles, Africa Unchained, and Sahel Blog.
I also run a blog that is mainly geared towards Africa. One of my big missions is trying to change perceptions and provide context. It is truly sad how the media has neglected Cote D’Ivoire as the civil war there is only getting worse. It really is the blogging community that is reporting on this story, so I’m glad you are sharing blogs from Africa!
Take care,
Phil
Thank you for including TIA: Cette est l’Afrique, what a lovely compliment!
Thank you for including Afri-love! I’m happy that you enjoy the blog and are spreading the love. There are a few on your list that I haven’t come across before – I’m looking forward to some exploring …
Thank you for an African Post! A couple of gems in there.
For something totally different with a focus on the Western parts of Africa we’d recommend http://www.amateursinafrica.com they were a couple of guys who proved Africa is accessible to all with no languages, no plans and no idea.
Yep – it’s our website and it’s shameless self promotion but we loved Africa and we reckon the readers of this sensational post might love some West Africa videos as well! We backpacked down barriers to change misconceptions – we hope you’ll find some of that in our posts as well….
So encouraging to see posts like this – looking forward to many more!!
