Eco-conscious travelers to Washington now have more cycling transportation options. Bike and Roll Washington DC has opened a third DC Metro location within the new Bikestation at Union Station.
The company leads professionally guided bicycle tours and offers rentals of bikes, strollers, wheelchairs and mobility scooters at its Washington DC locations. This newest location also offers a full service repair shop and a retail store.
Bicycle rentals include Trek comfort bikes, performance bikes, road bikes, tandem bikes and children’s bikes and accessories. Each bike rental includes a helmet, U-lock, bike rack, flat kit and city map. Bicycles can be rented in increments of 2-hours, 4-hours, for a full day or 24-hours or for extended periods.
Starting in spring 2010, the company will feature Capital Sites tours from the Union Station location. The three hour guided tour will offer an overview of the city on and around Capitol Hill and the National Mall with frequent stops for history, unique facts and practical touring tips. Sites will include the Capitol Building, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, several of the Smithsonian Museums, the Washington Monument, the war memorials and the Lincoln Memorial.
Travelers with their own bikes can buy daily secure bicycle parking through Bike and Roll Washington DC. Monthly and annual memberships for secure bike parking are also available through Bikestation. The facility also provides lockers and changing rooms.
Bike and Roll Washington, DC and Bike and Roll Alexandria are managing partners of Bike and Roll, a national network of bike rental with locations in Chicago, Miami Beach, New York City and San Francisco.

Iceland Bike offers guided bicycle tours of Reykjavik. Travelling by bike with a professional guide is certainly the best way to see the city.
Reykjavik is one of my favorite cities! Cycling the city would definitely be an excellent way to see the city.
