Chocolate Afternoon Tea In London

Chocolate Afternoon Tea in London.
Nothing can warm a chilly autumn day in London like afternoon tea.
This National Chocolate Week, October 11-17, 2010, the British cultural tradition will be getting even sweeter.
London hotel The Royal Horseguards will host a special Chocolate Afternoon Tea from October 11-24, 2010.
The Chocolate Afternoon Tea menu has been designed by the luxury hotel’s pastry chef Joanne Todd.
The sweet menu will begin with a spicy chocolate foam shot created with Xocomeli, a luxe dark chocolate and garnished with peppered berry salsa.
This shot will be accompanied by almond streusel and a guanaja chocolate tarte with slow roasted pineapple and licorice.
A hot chocolate or tea will be served with a selection of coffee and cocoa macaroons, an ivoire white chocolate cupcake filled with orange curd and an orange blossom infused Chantilly.
The menu will finish with butterscotch pear compote garnished with rich velvety Caramelia ganache cremeaux and liqueur truffles with Baileys, Cointreau and Kahlua.
