New Rough Guides Paris city app.

Looking for new city travel apps?  There are more and more city iPhone and Android apps coming on the smartphone market.

Rough Guides has launched new Rough Guides London, Paris, New York and Rome city apps for the iPhone and iPod touch.

The apps are designed to give travelers off-the-beaten-track recommendations and information on key sights and listings for hotels and restaurants.

Besides the city must-sees and theme-based lists, the apps offer a Lucky Dip feature with ideas for different choices of activity.

These city apps come with GPS mapping for city centres and map integration with iPhone.

The city apps’ features include:

• Rough Guide city centre mapping and map integration with iPhone;
• GPS coordinates for all museums, hotels, restaurants and shops;
• A ‘Lucky Dip’ feature with expert suggestions of things to do;
• The ability to tag favorite sights for planning itineraries or sightseeing;
• Sharing specific points of interest via email;
• An image gallery bringing together all the guide images and
• Single application on the iPhone or iPod touch.
