“Conservation is a necessity, not a luxury,” says John Weller.
In Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the conservation photographer was speaking about the importance of protecting the ecosystem of Antarctica’s Ross Sea.
He was at the National Museum of Wildlife Art for a past winter photography exhibition, The Last Ocean: Antarctica’s Ross Sea Photographs by John Weller.
Weller’s photography gives a glimpse into the lives of wildlife, including the Emperor Penguin, which inhabit the region above and below the ocean’s surface.
Based in Boulder, Colorado, the photographer/writer works to promote protection of the Ross Sea.
