Spa wumurdaylin has opened on Australia’s Hamilton Island.
The name ‘wumurdaylin’ means dragonfly which “symbolizes renewal, freedom and beauty.” It becomes the Island’s first full service Day Spa and the newest spa in the Whitsundays.
Inspired by the nature of the Whitsunday Islands, the spa was designed with locally sourced and natural materials such as bamboo furnishings and natural stones.

Paris’ Hotel Fouquet’s Barrière, on the corner of George V and Champs-Élysées Avenue, has been named the first “Leading Green” hotel in Europe.
Recently, Sustainable Travel International certified the hotel LECS (Luxury Eco Certification Standards).
The hotel has also achieved triple ISO certification (ISO 9001 for service quality; ISO 14001 for environmental commitment; SA 8000 for the respect of human rights and childrens’ rights).
More and more heritage buildings worldwide are being restored and converted into hotels.
Take Jaipur’s Chomu Palace Hotel whose foundation dates back to 1606 when it was a fort. In 1714, Chomu was completed and by the late 1800s it was turned into a palace.
In recent years, the palace fell empty. Then the Dangayach hotel group purchased the property and restored Chomu Palace Hotel to its former glory, opening the converted hotel in 2008.
